What Labelsmith stores

Labelsmith stores your shop's domain, your login session, your label templates, your settings, saved batches containing product details and quantities, delivery references and labeling progress, and how many labels you download each month (for the Free plan's limit).

What Labelsmith reads from Shopify

With your permission, Labelsmith reads product titles, variants, SKUs, barcodes, prices, vendors, product options, inventory counts, and any metafields you add to a template, to put them on labels. It writes barcodes to your products only when you ask it to. If you allow delivery access, it reads purchase orders, transfers and accepted shipment quantities to fill in label quantities. It doesn't ask for or store customer data.

Where your data goes

Product data goes from Shopify through Labelsmith's server to your browser for the label preview. Labelsmith's server creates your PDF when you download it. Download links expire after five minutes. Cloudflare hosts Labelsmith and stores this app data. Labelsmith does not sell your data or use advertising analytics.

When you uninstall

Labelsmith deletes your session right away. Shopify asks it to delete your shop's data 48 hours later, and it deletes your templates, settings, saved batches, delivery progress and print counts then. Email us if you want them deleted sooner.

Billing

Shopify handles billing. Labelsmith never sees your payment details.
